This song is inspired by the Carl Sagan quote entitled "Pale Blue Dot" which in turn was inspired by the photo of our planet taken by Voyager I in 1990. In the image our planet, the whole thing, is only 1 pixel in size and suspended in a beam of light from the Sun. When we think about our lives and what is important, we need to remember how truly small and remarkable we are.
We live on a beautiful and unique planet, surrounded by other living organisms that are beautiful and unique as well. We all only get one chance at life, we need to remember that in our interactions with other human beings.

Do you dream about the vastness of space or do you live inside your mind?
I touched the binding and the pages just fell away
Another story for another life
We're so hard to see from far away even the giants of our histories

Casting shadows they will never see
